APP Propane has launched our annual customer friendly Guaranteed Price Plan (GPP) for the 2010 - 2011 propane heating year. This unique annual APP Program allows customers to lock-in a propane price for a full 12-month period, and take the mystery out of "how much will propane cost this winter". Call APP for a Guaranteed Price quote and other GPP program details.

Some APP Propane customers chose to match the GPP with our Even Pay Plan to allow for budgeting propane costs equally throughout the year, and thus eliminate that unwelcome mid-winter surprise of higher heating costs. For more information on APP Propane Services click here.

Today the U.S. Senate is expected to ask the Chair to lay before the Senate the House message with respect to H.R. 4213, the tax extenders bill containing the reissuance of the $1 per gallon biodiesel tax credit. The House passed the measure just before the Memorial Day recess. If passed by the Senate and signed by President Barack Obama, the credit will be reinstated until Dec. 31, 2010, and will be retroactive back to the first of the year. The biodiesel industry is pushing hard for a longer term credit, three or five years, to bring investment back into the biodiesel arena.

U.S. Base Oil Price Report By: Carolyn L. Green
Yet another week has passed without an increase attempt from API Group II producers whohave not moved prices in about two months. But as demand continues to pick up strength, pale oil suppliers agree that a full round of increases is possible in coming weeks based on current market dynamics.
Sources suggest that higher prices could easily be supported by strong demand alongside limited supply rather than feedstock cost factors.

There has been an uptick in offshore demand in recent weeks, sellers claim. They add that with domestic activity somewhat thin due to summer vacations, fresh export shipments are taking up that slack and are keeping overall supply availability in the U.S balanced to tight.

However, crude prices have been climbing over the past week, and if futures go much higher and pull up vacuum gas oil values, then a wide-spread price increase would not be far-fetched, players hinted. On Tuesday, crude oil futures sailed past $77 per barrel during intra-day trade for the first time in two weeks, on positive financial results from the stock market. Adding to the oil gain, the International Energy Agency projected an increase in demand for 2011. Also boosting sentiment was a report late last week outlining a drop in U.S. crude inventories.
